The passion for life, beautiful things and hospitality can be felt, it lingers in every corner of the enchanting B&B where antique and modern blend with harmony, creating an ambiance rich with charm. Throughout the alleys, taverns and ancient shops of Massa’s historic centre, IL CUORE Bed and Breakfast is a leap in the past, a place where you will feel welcomed and cuddled and where you will rediscover the pleasure of the conviviality of past times.
Nothing is casual, everything is specifically wanted and created by Daniela and Roberto who lovingly selected the decors, furnishings and the many small things that make IL CUORE unique. Let the rocking horses, the old bird cages, the hearts and candles, the Murano glass chandeliers, the sweet and melodic music and the scent of orange blossoms that float in every ambient surprise and enchant you.
You will find a friendly and warm atmosphere in our breakfast room.
Sitting around the old cherry-wood table built in the 800's, you ll discover the pleasure of sharing the beginning of your days with the other guests.
In a setting of a terracotta hexagonal tile floor and a beautiful arched ceiling, all the delicious breakfast treats are tidily arranged on top of an antique woodworker's counter. Your day will start with a smile at the sight of cantucci biscuits, sweet rolls, rice puddings, torcetti biscuits, freshly toasted bread, jelly, jams and Cuore's famous apple cake, served on scallop rim platters, in starched lace bowls, wicker baskets and glass cake stands.
A savoury ginseng, herbal tea, or caffelatte will have a "special taste" in our retro style cups while enjoying a relaxed and slow rhythm.
For those who prefer salty breakfast, fragrant tomato, rosemary or onion focaccias and delicious scrambled eggs.
We will happy to prepare special breakfasts with products made with kamut flour, soya or rice milk, for those who suffer food allergies or intolerances.
...and during the warm seasons we go out in the garden enchanted by bird cages, white blossoms and the morning sun!
The Living Room...
As if suspended in time, our living room is an enchanted place where you can take some time all for yourself, sipping a hot and aromatic herbal tea.
Heated by the warmth of an antique marble fireplace, or illuminated by the sunlight that peeks through candid voile drapes, it has the real taste of days of yore.
The old time décor and flower printed fabrics create a pleasant atmosphere.
The garden...
Silence…the birds are chirping! The inner court garden of Il Cuore B&B is the secret soul of this antique building of the ‘700’s.
lt will be so pleasant allowing yourself a delicious breakfast, kissed by the sun and by the scent of flowers, to the sound of sweet musical notes accompanied by chirping of the birds that seem to flutter out of the many cages in the garden.
The 150 year old mandarin orange tree is the king of this courtyard, where crystal tables, armchairs and couches lay among hortensias and passionflowers, where the day begins in silence and tranquillity.
